PicAdore Gallery was founded in 2009 by Martin Zammit, a time
served printer with over thirty years experience in the trade. Martin set up the
business from scratch in an old upholstery workshop which he renovated into a small
gallery and print shop. Soon after starting he had a collection of local photographers
supplying images of the local Scarborough and Yorkshire coast scenery, displaying
them throughout the gallery, and at local events such as seafest. A year went by
and a young graphic designer was taken on to help with the heavy workload. Keeping
in with the theme of displaying local photographers artwork. PicAdore decided to
expand its online presence by teaming up with local web designers eightlegged.com.
These guys created this unique website that incorporate a social network style gallery
system for the photographers, enabling them to self promote and get feedback on
their images whilst still selling them through the PicAdore brand.
At PicAdore, we focus ourselves on the quality of the canvas as an end product. each canvas is individually
crafted by hand, from sizing of the image, adjusting the colours, making any additional
edits, to making the frame and hand stretching the canvas over it. All our canvases
are then sprayed with a UV resistant lacquer which further enhances the colours
and protects the artwork from dirt and fading.
Preview your photo onto canvas online. In our virtual living spaces. Choose from a selection
of rooms, furnish and colour to match your own room and then transport your chosen
image to a wall in that room, altering the size and dimensions to suit the available
space and your budget.
Our softwares' specialised image processing engine reads the information contained
within the image and checks it for quality, on doing so, it then displays the appropriate
sizes and proportions available to you to keep the image at full quality.
A lot of companies offering canvas prints online do not offer this service, leaving
many unhappy customers who have uploaded a low resolution picture and chose a big
size canvas, only to find when it is delivered that it is blurry and pixelated and
their money is wasted!

1. Take Your Photograph
Take any digital picture with your camera, portraits, landscapes, friends family or just something inspirational to you. Alternatively have a look through your older photograph files for something special that would make the perfect gift or addition to a room.
2 . Visit PicAdore
On our PicAdore site you can upload you photographs and view them using our Canvas Preview Software. Without obligation you can have fun and be creative changing the size, shape, wrap, orientation, split the canvas and add effects of the print and view this on a choice of walls and room colours. If you decide you want to order a print simply follow the instructions once you have chosen the canvas size and any other relevant details.
3. Open Your Canvas
PicAdore will then create a proof of the canvas that we will email to you for approval prior to printing. Once the proof has been approved your canvas will be printed. This takes about 5 working days. We will then wrap and ship your canvas via next day courier. Once you have your canvas you have up to 14 Days to return it to us for a full refund if you aren't completely satisfied.
